One of our absolute pet hates is when a customer comes in with a computer that just isnt living up to their needs and expectations. We invariably discover they have been to one of the bigger stores that sell computers very cheaply. They have spoken to a 'salesman' instead of a 'computer technician'. There is a huge difference in the advice you will receive from these two very different type of people.

A 'salesman' has a goal of selling as many computers to customers as possible. He (or she!) is not responsible for future servicing of the machine and often are not likely to ever have interaction with the customer again in the future. They may or may not truly understand the specifications of the computer and have a good knowledge of how different specs will be good in different applications.

A 'computer technician' understands how the different specifications of the many varieties of computers available will affect the day to day operation of the computer. They will not generally be on a commission base program for selling computers. They will understand that some operating systems require a minimum amount of RAM to run them efficiently. Often this amount is higher than the manufacturer specification.

Often have customers come in with a laptop they bought on special for $700 and they are angry and frustrated that everything on it runs really, really slowly. They have invariably been sold a low spec machine that runs on a version of Vista and doesnt have enough power to run it properly. Yes it will run - but not run well without causing you much frustration!

We sell computers, but its not our main priority. We primarily service, repair and upgrade computers or provide computer support to our customers. We will always give you a truthful recommendation about a computer. Feel free to come in and talk to us about your options before handing over your hard earned money to a store that just wont care if you come back and complain!

If we think your computer is not worth repairing or upgrading because it just isnt cost effective or still wont do what you want it to do - then we will tell you this. We like our repeat customers and wont sacrifice these customers for the sake of a quick sale on a computer system.

We also provide a lot of after-sales service. We will happily come out to your home or business and install or set up your new computer. We can transfer all the data from your existing machine onto your new one. Or implement a data backup system to protect your valuable files from unplanned events.
